What’s included in the Lazy Crazy system?

The Lazy Crazy System (top sheet/bottom sheet), 26 anchors, a weed blocker and complete instructions. Each Lazy Crazy system is 12 feet long by 3 feet wide and can be cut to size.

How do I install the Lazy Crazy system?

Installation is easy and only takes about 15 minutes. Just follow the steps on our How It Works page. You can also download of PDF of the instructions here.

What do I need for installation?

In addition to the Lazy Crazy system, you’ll need 3-4 bags of garden soil (approx. 3.5 to 4 cubic feet), seeds or seedlings, and fertilizer (optional).

Do I need to prep the ground or soil prior to installation?

No. But for best results, cut grass as low as possible before utilizing the Lazy Crazy system. Ensure that the ground is dry and wind is low for easiest installation and setup.

How do the plants penetrate the Lazy Crazy system?

As seeds sprout over several days, the top sheet will begin to dissolve and roots will begin growing through the bottom sheet. For fast germinating plants, the top sheet may need to be cut open after sprouting.

Is it possible to use the Lazy Crazy system for planting seedlings?

Yes. Use same steps as on our How It Works page, but utilize a garden soil center mound 6” tall and 12” wide. Fold top sheet over soil and anchor on remaining three sides. Cut slits through top paper, plant seedlings utilizing recommended spacing. For best results, seedlings should be 1 foot or shorter. Add additional soil around base of each seedling for better stability.

Are the anchors biodegradable?

Yes. The entire system is biodegradable and will return to the earth over time.

Can I replant the same area using a new Lazy Crazy system next season?

Yes. You can replant the same area with a new Lazy Crazy system season after season.

How do I use the weed blocker?

If planting multiple rows, use optional Weed Blocker paper and additional anchors provided between rows to repel weeds. See instructions for installation steps.
